Great to meet you!

I am an experienced psychologist, professor, and queer immigrant who brings both personal and professional insight to therapy. My doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota and a clinical internship at the University of Washington provided me with a strong foundation in evidence-based care. Over the past 12 years, I have worked extensively with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, including people of color, immigrants, international students, transracial adoptees, and LGBTQ+ individuals. This breadth of experience shapes my culturally attuned and inclusive approach, and I strive to offer a supportive, affirming environment where clients can feel deeply understood and respected.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in research-supported methods. By integrating culturally sensitive practices, I tailor each session to address your unique experiences—whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, navigating life transitions, exploring your identity, or seeking personal growth. I view therapy as a space to co-create meaning and build resilience. Together, we will explore strategies that foster insight and empower you to overcome challenges, all while honoring the cultural, relational, and personal contexts that have shaped who you are.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, validated, and equipped with practical tools for managing stress and making meaningful changes in their lives. My goal is for you to develop greater self-awareness and confidence as you navigate life’s complexities, whether that involves clarifying career goals, strengthening relationships, or deepening your sense of identity. In our work together, we focus on cultivating inner resources, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being. Ultimately, I aim to create a safe, affirming space that empowers you to live more authentically and experience a richer, more fulfilling life.
