Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed mental health counselor and clinical supervisor. I’m passionate about supporting clinicians as they grow professionally and develop their clinical skills.

As an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, my experiences have shaped my understanding of cultural identity, adjustment, resilience, and the importance of equitable mental health care. These experiences also inform my commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive clinical practice.

As a supervisor, I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians can reflect on their work, strengthen their skills, and provide thoughtful, ethical, and culturally responsive care to their clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in compassion. As a clinical supervisor, I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based, family systems, humanistic, existential, emotionally focused, and interpersonal approaches.

I believe effective supervision creates space for clinicians to reflect on their work, better understand their clients’ experiences, and strengthen their clinical skills. I encourage clinicians to consider each client’s cultural background, relationships, values, and unique experiences when developing treatment goals.

My goal is to provide thoughtful, supportive supervision that helps clinicians grow in confidence while maintaining ethical, client-centered, and culturally sensitive practices.

What you can expect from me

As a clinical supervisor, I do not provide direct therapy to clients. My role is to support clinicians in providing thoughtful, ethical, and culturally responsive care. I work collaboratively with clinicians to understand their clients’ needs, reflect on clinical concerns, and develop effective treatment approaches. My goal is to create a supportive supervisory environment where clinicians can continue growing and feel confident in the care they provide.
