Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Xochitl (só-cheel). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy in English and Spanish for children, teens, young adults, and women navigating anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of worry, self-doubt, or emotional pain that shows up not just in their thoughts, but in their bodies. Some are carrying past experiences that still feel very present today.

I offer a supportive space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through, at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in a person-centered approach, meaning I meet you where you are, without judgment. I integrate tools from SandTray therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy interventions for children, and incorporate somatically informed and trauma-informed practices to support both emotional and body-based healing.

When working with children, I use play as a natural way for them to express emotions, process experiences, and build coping skills in a way that feels safe and developmentally appropriate.

For teens and adults, we focus on building awareness, emotional regulation, and practical tools to help you feel more in control and connected to yourself.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive environment where you don’t have to have everything figured out. We will spend time getting to know what brings you in, what you have been experiencing, and what you would like support with.

For children, the first session is a parent session where we will discuss what brings your child to therapy, your concerns as a parent, review the process, and begin to set goals for your child.

As your therapist, I will walk alongside you as you navigate difficult emotions and life’s challenges, and support you in reconnecting with your strengths. I incorporate somatically informed and trauma-informed practices to support both emotional and body-based healing. We will work together to help you reach a better place, where you move forward with confidence, pursue your goals with clarity, and embrace life with joy.
