Great to meet you!

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected from the very first session. Building trust is important to me, and I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step.

I bring over eight years of experience working in diverse settings, including crisis intervention, child welfare, and substance use treatment. This has allowed me to support individuals and families through a wide range of challenges with compassion and flexibility.

My approach is collaborative—I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. We will work together to identify your goals and find strategies that feel right for you. I also value cultural sensitivity and take the time to understand your background, identity, and lived experiences as part of the healing process.

I offer services in French and Wolof and welcome clients from all backgrounds. My goal is to support you in building insight, developing practical tools, and creating lasting, meaningful change in your life.

My approach to therapy

My Approach

I take a client-centered and culturally responsive approach to therapy, meeting each individual where they are with empathy, respect, and care. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change.

My work integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and EMDR. I use these approaches to help clients build coping skills, process trauma, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

I have experience working with adults, children, and families across diverse settings, including child welfare, crisis intervention, and substance use treatment. I approach each client with cultural humility and value the role that identity and lived experience play in healing.

I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, we will work at your pace to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and supported.

I also offer services in French and Wolof and welcome clients from all backgrounds.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting connection. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you may have for treatment.

I may ask questions about your background, including your personal history, relationships, and any past experiences with therapy. This helps me better understand your needs and how to best support you. You are always free to share at your own pace—there is no pressure to discuss anything before you feel ready.

We’ll also review important information such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how we’ll work together moving forward.

By the end of the session, we’ll begin to identify focus areas and discuss next steps. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and more at ease about the process.
