Yael Monselise

My name is Yael (Ya-El) and I am licensed clinical social worker (which means that I look at environmental factors in addition to mental health) specializing in behavioral and trauma therapy. I have seven years of experience treating adults and adolescents as a medical and clinical psychiatric social worker and am licensed in CT, NJ and NY. I am passionate and empathetic and am committed to my patients no matter where they are in their therapeutic journey.

Since therapy is not a one-size-fits-all journey, I approaches therapy from a humanistic lens and incorporate various therapeutic approaches. I specialize in trauma therapy but have formal training in behavioral therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Focused Therapy.

I love incorporating different treatment modalities as therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
