Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of healthcare experience, including mental health. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care focused on treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders.

My approach is patient-centered and supportive, creating a safe space where you feel heard and understood. I combine medication management with practical coping strategies to help you improve your overall well-being.

I am also the Founder of Yaya’s Reentry Center, reflecting my commitment to supporting underserved communities and helping individuals rebuild their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered, collaborative, and holistic. I take the time to truly listen and understand each client’s unique experiences, goals, and challenges. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, education, and practical coping strategies.

I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and supported. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and life transitions. I also have a strong passion for working with underserved populations and individuals facing complex emotional or behavioral challenges.

My goal is to help clients feel empowered, improve their mental health, and build sustainable tools for long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your concerns. I will take time to get to know you, your history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through treatment.

We will discuss your symptoms, explore possible diagnoses, and begin creating a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, coping strategies, and supportive therapy. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and share any preferences or concerns.

My goal for the first session is for you to feel heard, understood, and leave with a clear direction and next steps for your care.
