Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Yahna. I’m a therapist who believes deeply in people—their resilience, their capacity to grow, and their ability to surprise themselves. I bring empathy, honesty, and a little humor into the room because healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. I’ll sit with you in the hard moments, and I’ll gently challenge you when it’s time to stretch. I’m a mother and grandmother, have loved and learned through marriage, and now happily bask in the glory of aloneness. I value connection, authenticity, and the courage it takes to show up—and I’m honored to walk alongside you in your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in deep belief in people and their capacity for growth. I lead with empathy and authenticity, creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. I also bring humor into the process when appropriate, because healing can include lightness alongside hard work. I’m supportive, but I’m not passive—I will gently challenge you to examine patterns, stretch beyond comfort zones, and step into your strengths. My life experience as a mother, grandmother, and a woman who has loved, lost, and learned allows me to hold space with wisdom and perspective. I value connection, self-awareness, and the power of embracing both relationship and healthy independence. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change is absolutely possible for you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where you set the pace. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you in, what you’re hoping will feel different in your life, and any important background that helps me understand your story. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and begin identifying patterns, strengths, and goals with you. We’ll also talk about how I work, what feels supportive to you, and what you need from therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is the start of building trust. By the end of the session, you can expect more clarity about next steps and a sense of whether we’re a good fit to do meaningful work together.
