Yale Kushner

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I provide individual, group and couples counseling in person or online. I am also a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) Alcohol/Chemical Dependency. I will talk with anyone about anything but one area I love to interact with others is about gender, helping them explore their gender identities.

My approach to therapy is relationship focused. I am convinced that a strong therapeutic relational connection between counselor and client is essential to make healthy progress. With my licensures and additional certifications I can bring clinical tools into sessions while at the same time being able to connect emotionally and spiritually with most clients.

My expectations related to take aways from sessions is a sense the client is not alone, that he/she has a cheerleader and supporter and that there is hope. From time to time there may be "homework" to do between sessions but each session would start with asking the client what would be the most important thing to address at the moment.
