Great to meet you!

Hello I'm Yamila Lezcano and as a Mental Health Practitioner my main goal is to support my clients in overcoming mental health challenges, and build resilience. I always say that "we are all passengers in the train of life" we are not exempt from losses, stress, illness, or relational issues. For 15 years, I have been fortunate to combine two of my professional passions academia and the clinical work. I hold a doctoral degree in Human Services with a specialization in Children and Families at Risk. I'm also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Qualified Clinical Supervisor. I have over 10 years of experience in Infant Mental Health and Early Childhood Developmental Disorders. In addition, I'm trained in Parent-Child Psychotherapy and hold several certifications in the field of Infant and Maternal Mental Health. I've been privileged to work with parents and families in finding their balance and strengthen their ties.

My approach to therapy

My main therapeutic orientation is Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution Focused; although, I tailored the therapeutic process to fit each individual from an eclectic and holistic approach.

What you can expect from me

During my sessions I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment, and be genuine and transparent, as the client-therapist relationship is key to a positive outcome.
