Great to meet you!

I’m a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and later completed a post-master’s certificate in psychiatric mental health. My background in both primary care and psychiatry allows me to consider the whole person, including physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and medications.

I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, mood changes, and sleep difficulties. When helpful, I also incorporate supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques into appointments. I speak both English and Spanish and welcome clients from different backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

I start by listening to what brings you in and how your symptoms are affecting your daily life. I also review your medical history, current medications, sleep, stress, and other factors that may be contributing to how you feel. Together, we discuss treatment options and create a plan that fits your needs and goals. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and collaborative. When appropriate, I combine medication management with supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I’ll take time to learn about you, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to improve. We’ll review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, sleep, lifestyle, and any previous treatments. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns without feeling judged or rushed. By the end of the visit, we’ll discuss my initial impressions and agree on the next steps, which may include medication, therapy recommendations, lifestyle changes, or additional evaluation.
