Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Yanira, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, heal from trauma, and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. As a first-generation Latina living with chronic illnesses, I understand the unique hardships, cultural expectations, and barriers that can impact mental health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and genuine connection. I believe that every person has their own unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I strive to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I work from a strengths-based perspective, helping clients build on what is already working while developing new tools to navigate life's difficulties.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can bring up many emotions, and that's completely okay. During our first session, we'll get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your strengths, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and the therapy process. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting—I'm here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
