Great to meet you!

I graduated from the University of Florida’s Mental Health Counselor Education program. I have extensive experience working in suicide prevention and intervention and crisis intervention that includes the Alachua County Crisis Center, UF Health Psychiatric Hospital, and a Crisis Intervention Consultant at the University of Florida.

My clinical experience includes ages 15 and up and I am trained In Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also fluent in Spanish.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My goal is to provide a safe and warm environment, developing a strong therapeutic relationship. I encourage clients to identify the contributing factors to their concerns.

I integrate a person-centered theoretical orientation into my approach to therapy. I integrate the client's cultural and ethnic backgrounds into my approach.

What you can expect from our first session

I focus on each client as an individual; therefore, the approach will different based on your needs. I encourage clients to gain insight from all their lives' experiences and explore every aspect of their history to identify what influences their emotions, thoughts, and actions. I want clients to experience an environment free of judgment and to feel fully heard and understood.
