Hello! My name is Yaritza. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) TX #80888 & FL #TPMC5727, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I), and a national board-certified counselor (NBCC). I am bilingual (English & Spanish), and I have been working in the mental health field since 2009. My experience includes working at community mental health agencies and, most recently, at a major insurance company.
I believe the therapeutic process is a collaborative effort between the client and the counselor. I believe in the healing of the mind and body. My approach is solution-focused and person-centered. I will provide you with a confidential, non-judgmental space to overcome your fears, to heal, and grow into the best version of yourself. I take an individualized therapeutic approach to each client’s needs after first assessing and determining the most helpful treatment modality.
My goal is that you feel safe, respected, heard, and seen. I want to provide you with the space to heal and the tools that will help you feel empowered. I prefer to focus on a person's positive qualities and assist them in moving forward by building upon those qualities to reach their personal goals.
