Great to meet you!

If you're lying awake at 2am replaying conversations, snapping at people you love, or wondering when life got this heavy — you're not broken, and not alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Illinois, working with adults and teens who carry far more than they let on.

I help people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, substance use and addiction, anger, grief and loss, panic, relationship strain, and the major life transitions that knock you off balance. My years in high-pressure clinical settings shaped me into a therapist who stays calm, direct, and practical when things feel overwhelming.

Therapy with me is honest and useful. My role is to offer an outside perspective, help you understand the patterns underneath, and challenge what's no longer working — so you can move toward a grounded, authentic version of you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in real life. You can expect to feel understood and respected — and challenged in a healthy way, with room for honesty, insight, and humor.

Our work may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, strength-based and trauma-informed care, and Jungian, depth-oriented exploration. That means concrete skills for emotional regulation, communication, stress management, and decision-making, plus deeper work on why you feel stuck.

People change when they finally see their patterns clearly and feel supported enough to act. My goal is to help you build stability, self-awareness, confidence, and a healthier relationship with yourself and others.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me the first session already feels different — honest and grounded. Therapy here is more than talking about symptoms; it's about understanding who you are, what keeps you stuck, and where you want to go.

I take an active, observant role, helping you notice patterns, make connections, and reach insights you couldn't see before. Over time, people I work with tend to feel less reactive, steadier in relationships, and more confident in their decisions.

Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, we'll move at a pace that feels right while still aiming for real progress. You don't have to have it all figured out to start — you just have to show up.
