Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Yasmilet Garcia, MSW, LCSW. I specialize in supporting women through life’s transitions, emotional challenges, and moments of self-discovery. My work is grounded in compassion and understanding, with a focus on helping clients navigate high-functioning depression and anxiety, parenting struggles, burnout, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences and trauma. I also work closely with first-generation professionals and students who may be navigating imposter syndrome, confidence and self-esteem challenges, or the unique pressures of being the first to pave the way. In our work together, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your story, set healthy boundaries, and move toward healing, balance, and growth.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and coaching techniques to provide a structured yet individualized treatment. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, enhance emotional awareness, and foster intrinsic motivation for change. This integrative approach supports clients in building practical coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and achieving meaningful, sustainable growth. My focus is on empowering women to navigate life transitions, manage symptoms of anxiety and depression, and establish healthier boundaries through goal-oriented and emotionally attuned work.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Through our work together, clients often develop stronger emotional regulation skills, increased self-awareness, and improved confidence in setting and maintaining healthy boundaries. My goal is to equip clients with strategies they can apply in their daily lives to navigate challenges more effectively and foster lasting personal growth.
