Great to meet you!

You don’t need me to tell you what you’ve seen, what you’ve carried, or why you are still awake at 3am. Whether it happened on a call, during a deployment, in a delivery room, in a relationship, or in a moment you still cannot fully explain, trauma does not ask permission before it changes you. I work with clients navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, flashbacks, numbness, anger, fear, relationship strain, and the exhaustion of holding everything together. You already know how to do hard things. You have proven that. Therapy with me is not about pretending it was not hard - it is about helping you face what happened with support, skill, and a plan so you do not have to carry it alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, practical, relational, and trauma-informed. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), relational therapy, and somatic work because trauma affects your thoughts, your body, your relationships, and your sense of safety. In session, we may work on understanding trauma responses, reducing avoidance, calming the nervous system, challenging painful beliefs, processing stuck points, strengthening boundaries, and building tools for flashbacks, anxiety, anger, fear, and emotional shutdown. I will not ask you to sit in silence and “just feel your feelings” without a plan. I will ask you to be open to riding the waves these feelings bring on, and I will be right there with you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will start by understanding what has been happening and what you need most right now. You do not have to tell the whole story before you are ready, and you do not have to prove that your pain is “bad enough” to deserve support. We will talk about the symptoms that are affecting your life, such as anxiety, flashbacks, numbness, anger, fear, sleep issues, relationship strain, or feeling stuck in survival mode. From there, we will begin identifying goals and creating a plan that helps you feel more steady, prepared, and supported. My goal is for you to leave feeling less alone and more clear about what healing can look like.
