Great to meet you!

My name is Katia Meredith, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, which I earned in 2014. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with both adults and children in outpatient and inpatient settings. Ever since I can remember, I knew I wanted to be in some form of helping profession. Initially, I imagined myself pursuing medicine, and when I entered college, I believed medical school was in my future. Over time, I discovered that my passion was helping people through a different kind of healing—by providing a safe, supportive space where they could feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I have a particular passion for working with adults who have experienced trauma and are struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, or other stressful life experiences. I understand that sometimes you may not need someone to “fix” things—you may simply need someone who will listen without judgment, validate what you are experiencing, and help you make sense of what you are going through. My passion is supporting clients as they work to overcome depression, trauma, grief, and other difficult life events while moving toward their individual goals. I use a client-centered approach that recognizes you as the expert on your own life. Together, we can explore your experiences, identify your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward greater confidence in yourself and your ability to navigate life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

When you begin therapy, I want you to feel validated, supported, heard, and understood. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment. My goal is to create a safe environment where you can explore your past, understand your present, and discover the strengths you already possess.
