Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I hold a Master’s degree in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling, and my experience has included individual and group therapy, behavioral health leadership, substance use and recovery, and supporting individuals and families through challenging life transitions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard and supported, while also gaining practical tools to help you create meaningful change in your life. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, tailoring treatment to each person’s individual needs and goals.

I especially enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship or family challenges, stress, low self-esteem, and difficulties with motivation or feeling “stuck.” I also have extensive experience in substance use and recovery.

As a bilingual therapist, I am able to provide services in both English and Spanish. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself, better understand what you’re experiencing, and feel empowered to move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand what may be holding you back, recognize your strengths, and develop practical tools that can help you move forward.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed approaches, while tailoring each session to your individual needs. I don’t believe therapy should feel the same for everyone. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and gaining insight, while others may be more solution-focused and centered on developing coping skills, setting goals, or creating actionable steps toward change.

I especially enjoy helping clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship or family challenges, low self-esteem, stress, recovery, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next.

Above all, I

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you would like to be different in your life. I’ll also ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, strengths, support system, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for therapy and what meaningful progress would look like for you. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling understood, hopeful, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
