Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is Level 3 Gottman trained, has experience working with individuals, families, and couples, as well as children, teens, and adults of all ages of all different ethnicities, races, and cultures. I also have experience working with LGBTQ+ teens and adults. I also provide services both in English and Spanish.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am an empathic and client-centered therapist who has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficulties with adjusting to different life phases. As a Latinx therapist, I also like to keep in mind how culture and different beliefs play a significant role in a person's life and how they cope with difficulties, as well as how they celebrate their accomplishments. In short, I ensure that I view my client as someone part of a community and learn more about their community to fully understand my client.

What you can expect from our first session

Empowering clients to believe in themselves while providing a nonjudgmental and safe space for them is my ultimate goal. Respecting a client's autonomy/independence and using an eclectic approach provides a unique and personalized therapy experience. In order to accomplish this, I ensure that a respectful and healthy therapeutic relationship is built first before engaging in the heavier work in sessions. I believe that each person deserves a therapeutic experience that is truly all about them and where their personal needs are met.
