Yesenia Segovia

Hello, my name is Yesenia Segovia and I am an LCSW based out of San Diego, California. I work with clients all over the state of California via telehealth therapy. I am currently working with adults supporting client with anxiety, stress, family issues, transitions, such as starting in college or the fear of what to do after college, starting a new job, feeling stuck at a current job, intimacy, divorce, co-parenting and peer relationship issues.

My therapeutic approach uses a blend of evidence-based techniques. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, psychodynamic, and mindfulness, depending on the client’s needs. I believe in the capacity for people to grow into their full potential. I encourage my clients to do their best, to be open to new experiences, decrease making judgements, learn to trust feelings, and raising awareness of the small successes.

In every session, I will bring an open heart, warmth, and a thoughtful mind. I have developed an ability to connect deeply, listen closely, create safety, and genuine support for your growth and healing. From addressing and undoing anxiety, to changing the communication with yourself and others, I can support you to address the challenges important to you.
