Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome — I'm glad you're here.

My name is Yesenia Vazquez, and I’m a bilingual Spanish/English Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC, with 7 years of experience supporting adults, children, adolescents, and families through life’s challenges.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Pace University and have completed advanced training in Mental Health Counseling, earning an Advanced Certificate from Long Island University.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, life transitions, grief, and children with behavioral problems. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy, always tailoring my work to meet each client’s unique needs.

What you can expect from me

In a first session with me, clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space focused on understanding their goals and needs. We’ll clarify what brought you here, define what success looks like, and set a direction for the session—whether that’s solving a problem, organizing your thoughts, or kickstarting a creative or personal project. I tailor my approach to your style and aim to offer immediate value through insight, action steps, or clarity. The overall goal is to help you leave the session feeling more focused, empowered, and ready to move forward.
