Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.

My approach to psychiatric care begins with listening. I believe every person has a unique story, and understanding your experiences, concerns, and goals is the foundation of effective treatment. My priority is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.

I take a patient-centered, holistic approach, looking beyond symptoms to understand the whole person. Rather than treating diagnoses alone, we will work together to identify what is causing you the most distress and address it one step at a time. I carefully review your psychiatric history, including previous medications, what has or hasn't worked, and any side effects you've experienced, so we can develop a treatment plan that is individualized, practical, and based on the best available evidence.

My treatment philosophy combines medication management with education, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and collaborative decision-making. I strive to identify the root causes contributing to your symptoms while helping you build lasting coping skills and improve your overall quality of life.

Above all, patient safety, compassion, and collaboration guide every decision I make. My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and participating in decisions about your care. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that supports your mental wellness and helps you achieve meaningful, lasting progress.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best psychiatric care starts with listening. Every client has a unique story, and I take the time to understand your experiences, concerns, goals, and treatment history before making recommendations. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and actively involved in your care.

I use a patient-centered, evidence-based, and holistic approach that looks beyond a diagnosis to understand the whole person. Together, we'll identify the symptoms that are affecting your daily life the most and develop a personalized treatment plan, addressing one concern at a time while working toward long-term wellness.

I carefully review your psychiatric history, including previous medications, what has been helpful, what hasn't worked, and any side effects you've experienced. This helps us make informed decisions rather than starting over, allowing treatment to be individualized to your needs and preferences.

My care combines medication management, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and lifestyle recommendationswhen appropriate. I focus on identifying the root causes of your symptoms, strengthening healthy coping skills, and helping you achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in your mental health and overall quality of life.

I treat children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, OCD, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and other mood and psychotic disorders.

Above all, patient safety, compassion, collaboration, and respect guide every decision I make. I believe treatment works best when it is a partnership, and I am committed to working alongside you to help you feel your best and reach your personal goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, discuss your goals, and review your psychiatric, medical, and medication history to gain a complete picture of your mental health.

You can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in your care. Together, we'll identify the concerns that are impacting your daily life the most and develop a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

If medication is appropriate, we'll review previous treatments, discuss what has or hasn't worked, and explore available options, including potential benefits and side effects. We may also discuss therapy, coping strategies, lifestyle changes, and other tools to support your overall well-being.

By the end of our first visit, my goal is for you to feel heard, have a clear understanding of your diagnosis and treatment options, and leave with a collaborative plan focused on improving your mental health, safety, and quality of life.
