Great to meet you!

Greetings!

I am a bilingual (Spanish-English) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 25 years of experience. I primarily conduct therapy in Spanish. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Colombia (May 2000) and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in September 2024.

Since 2015, I have worked at an agency that receives funding from San Bernardino County, initially as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) and later as a clinician (LMFT). I deeply believe in the infinite love of God for us and in the power of change. I am a witness to the transformative progress in my clients’ lives and to their ability to overcome challenges and thrive.

Professional Experience:

I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a range of conditions, including depression (MDD), anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, sleep disorders, anger management, grief, and domestic violence. My work spans various programs, including Family Resource Center (FRC), Community Wholeness Enrichment (CWE), and Promotores de Salud.

My approach to therapy

I identify mainly with the Behavioral approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I find values and important skills in Humanistic Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Neurolinguistic Programming. I implement these skills/models to form a bond with each of my clients. I strive to create a comfortable and respectful environment where you can feel heard, vulnerable, and secure.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I validate the pain, loss, or trauma of my clients with empathy and compassion. I love my profession, and I give my best in each of my sessions. I want to provoke my clients to be proactive and generate changes from their first appointment.
