Yolanda Cavicchio

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy. I approach each therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one. My style is warm, patient led, and holistic, with placed focus on building a trusting bond between the two of us.

Not everything can be expressed in words. Imagery, movement, and sound are tools I use alongside talk-therapy to explore past the limitations of the mind, and into the intuitive wisdom of the body and imagination. I am also trained in facilitating yoga and meditation, which allows for the option of incorporating body-oriented techniques within sessions.

My practice is centered around helping people connect meaningfully with themselves and others with a sense of belonging, trust, and empowerment. Together we tune in to what you feel is holding you back from the life you want, and how to move forward into that vision. I am experienced in, and enjoy working with, symptoms of Complex-Trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression and grief, addiction, major life transitions, relationship patterns, and experiences relating to LGBTQA+ and BIPOC communities.
