Great to meet you!

I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. My professional background includes working in juvenile justice, school counseling, and community mental health settings. For the past 8 years, my clinical work has focused on helping teens, adults, and families navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal and family relationship concerns.

I believe that seeking therapy is a sign of strength, and you do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone. My goal is to create a caring, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to be yourself, express your thoughts and emotions openly, and work toward the changes you desire.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is primarily person-centered, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized, rather than a one-size-fits-all process.

Together, we will identify your goals and develop a plan that fits your unique needs, experiences, strengths, and circumstances. I encourage clients to develop greater self-awareness, explore how past experiences may influence their present, identify patterns that may be holding them back, and develop healthy coping strategies. My goal is to help you build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying the concerns or goals you would like to address. I will also learn about your background, experiences, strengths, and current challenges so we can begin developing an individualized plan for treatment.

Most importantly, you can expect the first session to be a conversation—not a test. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, share what you are comfortable sharing, and begin building a therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
