Great to meet you!
I am Yrlande Simon, MSN, APN-C, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental health care. I believe every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
With more than 20 years of nursing and advanced practice experience, I have cared for patients in hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, primary care, rehabilitation, long-term care, urgent care, and community settings. My diverse clinical background allows me to understand the complex relationship between physical and mental health and to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and completed a second Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health at Wilkes University. I also serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor, where I enjoy mentoring future nurses.
I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, trauma, life transitions, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative and individualized, combining thorough psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy, and education to help clients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.
Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, I am passionate about providing culturally responsive care that meets each client's unique needs. Whether you are seeking support for a new challenge or managing a long-term condition, I am here to partner with you in building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and helping you reach your personal goals.
