Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I believe it is important to have a therapist with whom you feel comfortable being yourself. I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety and stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, cultural adjustment, and concerns related to eating and body image. I value understanding how culture, identity, family, and life experiences shape each person’s experience.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, gardening, watching movies and musicals, and spending time with friends and family.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. I work with you to understand your concerns, identify patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties, and develop approaches that feel realistic and meaningful for your life.

I draw from psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches, incorporating cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based strategies as appropriate to your needs and goals. I also place importance on understanding the broader context of your experiences, including your relationships, values, culture, and the ways you have learned to cope. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to help you develop greater self-understanding and build a life that feels more aligned with what matters to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, what you hope to get out of therapy, and some of the experiences that may be relevant to what you’re going through. I’ll also share how I typically approach therapy and learn more about what you’re looking for in a therapist.

We can start wherever you are and work together to identify what feels most important to address. I also want you to have a sense of what it’s like to work with me and whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
