Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Yuri, an LPC and high school counselor with over six years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My background in education and counseling has given me a unique understanding of the challenges people may experience across different stages of life, including at home, at school, in relationships, and during major life transitions.

I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation, self-esteem, school and academic concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also work with adults who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, or navigating changes and challenges in their personal or professional lives.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. Together, we work toward building confidence, developing healthy coping skills, strengthening emotional well-being, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and expressing what they are experiencing.

I meet each client where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs, strengths, and goals. I incorporate evidence-based strategies while focusing on building self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, confidence, and resilience. I also believe in working collaboratively with clients rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, relationship concerns, school or work stress, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, feel more empowered, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and heard. We will take time to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore your current concerns, strengths, and goals.

I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and what you hope to gain from therapy, while giving you space to share at your own pace. We’ll also begin discussing strategies and areas of focus that may be helpful moving forward.

You can expect a collaborative and judgment-free environment. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session—my role is to meet you where you are and work with you to identify meaningful steps toward feeling and functioning better.
