I am a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience. I am fluid in English and Spanish. I have a masters degree in counseling. I have worked in many different settings such as outpatient mental health, detoxification, adult detention center, residential substance use treatment, and emergency services. I provide individual therapy. I have worked with people with schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, substance use, and personality disorder.

My approach to therapy

When working with clients I listen, explore, and work together as a team. My approach is person centered and can include cognitive behavioral treatment, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I find that it is essential to address all areas of life and treat the persons as a whole.

What you can expect from me

I can help by providing active listening and teaching coping skills. We will come up with solutions and different strategies on how to manage difficulties. You will leave the session feeling heard, validated, and with goals to strive for.
