Great to meet you!

You may be the person everyone depends on—the capable one, the peacemaker, the one who keeps going. Yet privately you may feel anxious and exhausted, replay conversations, fear disappointing your family, or get stuck in relationship patterns that make you question yourself.

I specialize in working with first-generation, Latinx, bicultural, and high-achieving adults who want to reduce anxiety, set boundaries without overwhelming guilt, and feel more secure in relationships. As a first-generation Colombian immigrant and bilingual LCSW with 16 years of experience, I understand how culture, family loyalty, faith, and achievement can shape emotional health.

I offer therapy in English and Spanish and welcome clients of all backgrounds. Faith can be integrated when you request it.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, you can expect both compassion and direction. We will identify the situations that trigger anxiety, guilt, shutdown, anger, or people-pleasing; understand the family and relationship patterns underneath them; and practice responses that fit the life and values you want now.

I use CBT, attachment-focused and relational therapy, experiential work, and practical communication and boundary tools. Rather than giving generic advice, I tailor each session to your goals and culture. We may map recurring cycles, rehearse a difficult conversation, track changes between sessions, and adjust our plan based on what is actually helping.

I will not ask you to blame your family or abandon your values. We will make room for complexity while helping you respond with greater clarity and choice.

What you can expect from me

From the first sessions, we will define what improvement would look like in daily life—not only how you feel during the appointment. You can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of your patterns and one or two practical steps to try.

Depending on your goals, our work may focus on shortening anxiety and rumination cycles, saying no without over explaining, recovering more quickly from criticism, communicating needs directly, or choosing relationships from self-trust rather than fear. We will review progress regularly so therapy stays focused.

My goal is for you to feel calmer, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to yourself and the people who matter without losing yourself in the process.
