Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Yuliya A., and I am a licensed, board-certified Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in mental health care. I provide psychological and emotional support to adults and older adults through telehealth and in-person visits in homes, nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. My unique background combines medical knowledge with psychological care, allowing me to treat the whole person—body and mind.

I have experience working with individuals navigating chronic illness, cognitive decline, depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions, especially in the aging population. I also incorporate family dynamics and caregiver support into my work when appropriate.

My approach to therapy

My approach is goal-oriented, empathetic, and collaborative. I tailor each treatment plan to the specific needs of the individual while incorporating evidence-based strategies and practical guidance. I often include family therapy and elder care planning, especially when working with clients who may rely on support from caregivers or loved ones.

I believe in building a safe, trusting relationship where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to work toward meaningful change. I work at your pace, providing structure and support along the way. Flexibility is key—I offer evening and weekend appointments (Sunday–Thursday, 8 AM–8 PM) to meet your scheduling needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. From the very first session, I work collaboratively to understand your unique needs and challenges, then help you set realistic, meaningful goals—whether that’s improving emotional well-being, managing stress, adjusting to life changes, or building healthier relationships.

Over time, clients often gain:

  • Improved coping strategies for anxiety, depression, grief, or chronic illness
  • Increased self-awareness and emotional clarity
  • Stronger communication skills within family or caregiving dynamics
  • Greater confidence in managing daily challenges and long-term goals

I strive to create a space that fosters growth, healing, and empowerment, and I adapt my approach based on where you are in your journey. Each session is designed to move you forward—at your pace—toward greater balance and peace of mind.
