Great to meet you!

I’m Yuritza Medina, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. My education also includes a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration and Leadership, which helps me bring a structured, safety-first, and quality-focused approach to my patients. I value privacy, compassion, and clinical precision, and I aim to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and genuinely supported.

Many of my patients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from trying to manage symptoms alone. I understand how depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, and mood instability can quietly erode daily life, relationships, and confidence. My goal is to help you restore stability and function with a plan that is realistic, personalized, and built around your values and culture.

I provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and thoughtful medication management, while also emphasizing evidence-based therapy recommendations such as CBT. I enjoy helping patients understand the “why” behind their symptoms and treatment options, so decisions feel collaborative rather than rushed. When appropriate, I also coordinate care and connect patients with supportive services to strengthen stability beyond the clinic.

I treat a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, panic symptoms, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, PTSD, trauma-related symptoms, insomnia, and other mood-related disorders or concerns.

I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults across diverse backgrounds, including individuals navigating major life transitions, caregiver stress, and acculturation-related challenges. If you are looking for a provider who blends empathy with clear clinical direction, prioritizes safety, and genuinely partners with you in your recovery, I would be honored to support your next steps.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe healing starts with feeling truly heard, so I prioritize active listening, empathy, and clear communication to build a safe, trustworthy therapeutic relationship. I take time to understand the full picture of what you are experiencing, your medical history, your stressors, your strengths, and the goals that matter most to you.

With over 20 years of experience working with multicultural populations, I bring a deep respect for how culture, immigration experiences, language, family roles, and life transitions can shape mental health. I am fluent in both Spanish and English and have received cultural training, which allows me to provide care that feels more personal, relevant, and empowering for each patient.

Clinically, I integrate thoughtful psychiatric assessment, individualized medication management, and evidence-based therapy recommendations such as CBT. My style is structured but compassionate, and I focus on practical strategies that help you function better in daily life, improve sleep and emotional regulation, and regain a sense of stability and confidence. When needed, I also help connect patients with supportive services and community resources to reduce barriers and strengthen long-term outcomes.

Above all, my goal is to partner with you in a plan that is safe, realistic, and tailored to your life, so you feel supported not just in symptom relief, but in lasting recovery.
