Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Yvette. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor here in Virginia, and my passion is helping people navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship struggles.

In our sessions, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk openly and feel heard. I take a client-centered approach, which means we work together on what matters most to you. I use practical tools from CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness so you can start feeling better and more in control of your life.

Since 2018, I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults in many settings—outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’m also completing training in EMDR to better help clients heal from trauma.

Life can be overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to walk with you, help you gain clarity, and support you as you take steps toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to guide, support, and challenge you in ways that help you grow. I work from a client-centered foundation, blending techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to meet your unique needs.

I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. In every session, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater clarity, practical tools they can use right away, and a renewed sense of hope. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and empowered to take steps—big or small—toward the changes you want in your life.
