Great to meet you!

Therapy feels different when you do not have to explain the job—or what it brings home. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, retired law enforcement detective, and NYU graduate with experience providing therapy to children and adults. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family stress, and major life changes. I have a particular understanding of first responders, veterans, healthcare professionals, and the partners and children affected by high-pressure careers. My style is warm, direct, and empowering, and you do not need to come from one of these backgrounds to feel welcome in my practice.

My approach to therapy

Strong people are often the ones no one thinks to ask, “How are you doing?” As a retired law enforcement detective, I understand what it is like to carry responsibility, work under pressure, and keep moving because others depend on you. You do not have to be a first responder to know that feeling. My approach is warm, direct, and practical—I will listen without judgment, ask the questions that matter, and help you take an honest look at what has not been working. Together, we will build on your strengths and find changes that make sense in your real life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel awkward, especially when you are used to being the person everyone else depends on. You do not need to show up with the right words or be ready to tell me everything. I will listen closely, ask the questions that need to be asked, and help you take an honest look at what is working, what is not, and why. We are not going to solve your whole life in one hour, but we will know where to start.
