Great to meet you!

As a licensed professional counselor, I believe that every individual should see themselves as a whole being and not just as the roles that they hold in life. I encourage each client to embrace all of who they are to release the idea that their worth, purpose and identity is conditional. I am passionate about supporting clients struggling with self-worth and identity as they build successful relationships with family, friends and intimate partners. With a masters in community counseling, I have been supporting the community for over 10 years.

My approach to therapy

When supporting individuals, I utilize an experiential person-centered approach, which begins with helping clients acknowledge their internal and external strengths. In addition, I guide clients in developing an intentional mindfulness practice as a management tool for stress and anxiety.

As a relationship therapist, I incorporate the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach in helping couples and families reconnect and rebuild relational balance. I assist couples with processing through their individual emotions to encourage empathic responses during moments of distress or conflict.

What you can expect from me

We will take the first meeting to assess your current circumstances. While my areas of expertise may be consistent with your reasons for coming to therapy, we will need to address specific areas that are unique to you.

In order for therapy to be successful, it is imperative we establish a client/therapist relationship that is supportive and honest. In fact, it is the nature – and the quality – of our relationship that will determine the success of your overall therapy goals.
