Great to meet you!

Out of office until 10/8. These words are alive. Follow the trail! Therapy is art, and we create it together, session by session. Explore your unconscious mind and discover new truths about yourself and your relationships. Break free from rigid fear-based thinking and experience life more fully by finding new and more real ways of being in the world. Become more relaxed, flexible, confident, creative, playful, and intimate with others. Feel a wider range of emotions and learn language to describe them. Understand and transcend your traumas. Take risks. Be honest with yourself and live in alignment with your values.

Niche areas of interest include psychosis, paranormal experience, gang & cult involvement, and substance use.

My approach to therapy

My style is relaxed and natural, not forced or artificial, and I encourage you to let go of the need to "perform" or behave a certain way in therapy. I invite you to speak any thought or feeling aloud, even when it feels inappropriate or wrong, and we will stay curious together and notice when and why you feel blocked from expressing yourself. I pay close attention to what is unfolding in each moment between us in session, and what our dynamic can teach us about your personality, emotional needs, and relational patterns.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to learn a bit about each other, get a general sense of what you hope to gain from therapy, and to simply see how it feels for us to sit together and talk. If you don't know where to start, that's ok -- we'll figure it out together. I will remain open and curious about your experience, and I may encourage you to pause and reflect on feelings or thoughts that arise in the moment during the session.
