Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic practitioner specializing in helping adults make sense of their lives, the challenges they experience, and how these interfere with daily living. I have years of experience helping people with various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, health challenges, major life transitions (grief/loss), and issues related to sexual, gender, or cultural identity.

My approach to therapy

I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy, which emphasizes the important roles our lifelong relationships play in our lives, how we come to be, and how we deal with the struggles we face. I also incorporate interventions that honor the mind-body connection. Through the relationship we build in therapy, I aspire to help you take an honest look at yourself and your patterns so that you can have a say in the direction of your life. My approach can be described as curious, compassionate, and connected.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that through our work you a) become better able to understand yourself in the context of your life and b) in the process of gaining this understanding, learn that you have more than your usual set of options for living this life. This is important because a major goal of therapy is not just about finding quick solutions to problems, or understanding things about yourself logically, but about building our inner capacities to live life more fully, meaningfully, and effectively.
