Great to meet you!

Hello, My name is Zari you can call me (Dr. Zari).

" We are all responsible for our own destiny as we make our own lives based on own experiences and faulty experience creates faulty result".

I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I have been licensed in CA since 2001. Before becoming a psychologist, I was a registered nurse (RN). I worked in ICU in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles. I am a well-grounded psychologist; My goal is to help my client to be the best who she/he can be. I have no preference for whom to treat as long as you are ready for change.

My journey to Mental Health Care:

I was an RN working in ICU and having a good income and doing well. I wanted to have more autonomy in working with my patients. You don’t have that much autonomy working in the hospital. I observed that some of pharmaceutical medications were making the patient seeker. I realized there is a connection between physical and emotional wellbeing. In my capacity as a nurse. I started providing relaxation techniques and just listening to my patient. I realized that on the day I worked with my patient they used less pain medication, and their mood was better. That is part of the reason I became interested in pursuing a degree in psychology. It was very hard; I had to work and go to school, and I had to refinance my home to pay for my tuition.

I am proudly reporting in the past 24 years I have treated many satisfied individual and couples, and you can be one of them.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is based on the framework to understand and address a client's issues. It's the lens through which I see human relationships and the challenges my client is facing. Although I have a holistic approach to therapy, I use the therapeutic approaches that fit best with the client problems, cultural background, and what is surrounding the issue a client seeking therapy for. There are times that I have to use more than one method of therapy to help the client to move forward: such as CBT, mindfulness Meditation and psychodynamic therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Eestablish the therapeutic alliance and solidify therapeutic goals at the onset of therapy. This includes making client comfortable, building trust, understanding the client's concerns and history. And Evaluating fit:

Both the client and therapist can evaluate whether they feel good fit for working together.
