Dr. Zsuzsanna Balogh

I’m Zsuzsanna (“Zsuzsi”) Balogh, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctoral degree from Seattle University. I provide outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents and adults, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, evidence-based medication management, and supportive therapy. My background includes outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatry, eating-disorder treatment, substance-use recovery, foster care and disability services, and experience with TMS. Clients often describe my style as thoughtful, calm, and collaborative.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and personalized. I combine evidence-based medication management with brief psychotherapy informed by CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I frequently work with mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, complex trauma, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. I aim to use the least medication necessary while remaining flexible and responsive as your needs evolve.

The first session is about understanding the full picture and creating clarity. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, your history, and what you’re hoping will feel different, and I’ll explain my thinking in plain language. Most clients leave with a clearer understanding of what may be going on and an initial treatment plan. You don’t need to have the “right words”; that’s part of my job.
