Great to meet you!

I am a seasoned professional. My core belief is, "It's not life that make us crazy. It's what we think about life that makes us crazy." I have spent my adult life counseling and teaching students and patients how to incorporate this truth into their lives. I am a trained Cognitive Therapist and an REBT practitioner. These are both sides of the same coin and relate well to the words of Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;...think on these things."

You are the expert on you. I am the expert on how to effect the changes in your life that you would like to see. I believe in the tenets of Cognitive Therapy because they have worked for myself and countless others. However, therapy is not magic, it requires hard work on the part of both the practitioner and the client. I look forward to working with you.

As Walt Whitman wrote, "age has snowed white hair on me." I bring to the counseling relationship life experience, a considerable knowledge base, and a passion to see you live your best life. Let's travel this journey called life together for a time and see what we can accomplish.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral, Rational Emotive, and Talk therapies. The combination of these three with empathy, genuine concern for the well being of my patients, and a deep spirituality, have helped many individuals in my care see positive results.

What you can expect from me

CBT is a forward-looking therapy. We believe that "It's not life that makes us crazy. It's what you think about life that makes us crazy!" We will work on building positive cognitions combined with homework to facilitate a reductio in the symptoms that plague the individual.
