Great to meet you!

As a mental health counselor, I have worked for more than twenty years to help people navigate the challenges of life and find the happiness and fulfillment they seek.

I started my professional career working in a residential setting helping adult males with addictions. Since then, I have worked with many populations and in various settings. In addition to individual and couples work, I have worked extensively with adolescents and families.

My approach to therapy

I believe in the basic goodness of people. I do not believe that people are broken nor that I am here to fix them. Everybody can make healthy choices and can find happiness in life. Establishing positive relationships, increasing awareness, and honoring oneself are key elements to success along that journey.

As we work together, we will use tools such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to help increase insight and awareness, to learn how to make healthy choices, and to grow fulfillment and happiness in life.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship based on respect and trust, where you can feel safe and accepted. It is important that can share your story. It is also important that you are heard.

You are coming to therapy for a reason. We will work together to help you identify your challenges, set goals, and develop tools and strategies to achieve the lasting changes you seek.

Although I am here to help along this journey, as you progress, your own strength and confidence will grow, you will become more empowered and you will have less need of help from me.
