Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 10 years of experience caring for individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Much of my career has been spent in inpatient psychiatry and psychiatric emergency services, where I have supported people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental care while helping clients navigate complex emotional and mental health concerns. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood changes, ADHD, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to work alongside you to develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs and helps you move toward lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and centered on the individual. I recognize that no two people have the same experiences, so I take time to understand your concerns, strengths, and goals before recommending treatment. I use a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach while incorporating comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management when appropriate, and education to help clients make informed decisions about their care. I believe in building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and actively participating in their treatment. Together, we will create realistic goals and monitor progress, making adjustments as your needs evolve.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to treatment. I'll ask about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and personal goals. This comprehensive assessment helps me gain a full understanding of your situation so we can develop an individualized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss options, potential benefits, and possible side effects so you can make informed decisions about your care. My priority is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. By the end of the session, you'll have a clearer understanding of your diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and the next steps in your care.
