Great to meet you!

As someone with a clinical social work background, I am trained to think about my clients holistically, giving special consideration to issues of identity in thinking about what makes people who they are. I am trauma informed and practice cultural humility.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in helping adults work through issues of identity, life transitions, and relationships. My background is in relational psychoanalysis, focusing on deep listening and reciprocity in the therapy room. I have additional training in CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. By having a flexible yet grounded approach, I can offer my clients a variety of tools. I have extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in education working with individual and families with complex mental health challenges. In my work, I am guided by a sense of genuine curiosity and humility.

What you can expect from me

As a psychodynamic therapist, I believe in the importance of therapy being a mutual and collaborative effort. By creating a safe and trusting space, we can free ourselves from stubborn habits of thinking and enrich our relationship with ourself and those around us. Such habits can be unconscious and difficult to spot without an outside perspective. I allow space for deep exploration but also bring a variety of skills and tools when needed.
