Great to meet you!

I graduated in 2011 with Master’s (M.Ed.) and Specialist (Ed.S) degrees from the University of Florida’s Counselor Education program. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of community mental health settings supporting mostly adult aged individuals experiencing a range of symptoms including anxiety and panic, mood instability, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anger, relationship issues, life adjustment, and trauma.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My overall focus revolves around meeting my clients where they are, using empathy, validation, and warmth to ensure that emotional isolation is minimized and the rapport building process is meaningful. I offer an eclectic mix of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral approaches to assist my clients in feeling more at peace with the activity of their minds.

What you can expect from our first session

Individuals seeking supportive feedback, non-judgmental listening, and constructive, positive counseling services would likely benefit from working with me. Reaching out to a new therapist for the first time can feel overwhelming and very vulnerable. My main goal is always helping potential and established clients feel safe, respected, and heard. Feel free to reach out to discuss your needs and how I may be of assistance in your emotional journey.
