Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of experience in mental health, licensed in North Carolina. I provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, respected, and understood.

I believe that you are more than a diagnosis. My approach focuses on understanding your unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and personal goals. I work collaboratively with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that supports your emotional well-being, improves daily functioning, and promotes lasting mental wellness.

I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management when appropriate, medication education, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, stress, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges.

My goal is to help you feel empowered, build effective coping strategies, and improve your quality of life at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Taking the first step toward mental wellness can be difficult, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I look forward to working together to help you achieve your mental health goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on you as a whole person—not just your diagnosis. I believe that every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and needs, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.

I take time to listen, understand your goals, and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. My approach combines evidence-based practices, including medication management when appropriate, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and medication education.

I believe that effective mental health care is a partnership built on trust, respect, and open communication. Together, we will work toward improving your emotional well-being, developing healthy coping strategies, and enhancing your daily functioning and quality of life. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge, support, and tools you need to make meaningful progress at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where your concerns are heard and your experiences are respected. We will take time to discuss what brings you to care, your mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, strengths, and personal goals.

I will work with you to understand your unique needs and answer any questions you may have about treatment options. Together, we will explore an individualized care plan that may include medication management, therapy-based strategies, coping skills, or other evidence-based approaches, depending on your needs and preferences.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about your next steps. You do not need to have everything figured out before your appointment. We will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building a trusting partnership focused on your well-being and long-term mental health.
