Great to meet you!

I am a genuine, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapist who truly values the strength it takes to seek support. I work primarily with individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges, and I’m deeply committed to helping clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

I bring both clinical knowledge and real-world experience into my work, which allows me to meet clients where they are while also helping them move toward meaningful change. I believe in creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can be honest about their experiences without fear of judgment.

I am also very intentional about education, helping clients better understand their diagnoses, patterns, and options, so they feel empowered in their own healing process. My approach is structured when needed, but always flexible enough to honor each client’s unique journey.

Above all, clients should know that I am in their corner. I advocate, support, and challenge when appropriate, always with the goal of helping them build a healthier, more stable, and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is really about meeting each client where they are and tailoring my style to fit their needs. I pull from a few different approaches, mainly Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, humanistic therapy, and some psychodynamic work.

I tend to use solution-focused techniques to help clients identify what’s already working and build on their strengths, especially when it comes to motivation and moving forward. I also incorporate CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, which is really helpful for managing things like anxiety, depression, and substance use.

At the same time, I take a humanistic approach, so creating a safe, nonjudgmental space is really important to me. I want clients to feel comfortable being open and honest. When it’s appropriate, I’ll also explore deeper patterns using psychodynamic concepts to help clients understand how past experiences may be impacting them now.

Overall, I stay flexible and adjust my approach depending on the client’s goals and where they are in their process. My goal is to support them in a way that feels both practical and meaningful so they can make real, lasting changes.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, relaxed first session where they can show up exactly as they are, no pressure, no judgment, and no need to have it all figured out. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and begin building a space that feels safe, supportive, and even a little easier than expected. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and thinking, “Okay...this isn’t so bad.”
