Welcome to NTouch Mental Health Services! Thank you for taking the first step in becoming more intune with your mental health. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Maryland and the District of Columbia. I work with several diagnoses, but specialize in anxiety and depression. I work with clients age 18 and older.
I generally utilize a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT) to treatment, but I will also utilize, an integrative model, solution focused model or incorporate christian based principles if requested.
During the intital session, I will discusses your background and current symptoms. We will work together to establish rapport. We will then discuss possible goals for treatment and then the real work begins in the following sessions. I may give you homework that is expected to be completed prior to your next appointment, but it will be something realitively easy to do. Most individuals are amazed at how much better they feel after just having someone to talk to.
