Great to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Adrienne, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, focused on Clinical Mental Health. I’ve provided mental health therapy for three years and feel honored to do this work. Before becoming a social worker, I was a special education teacher. I enjoy supporting educators, caregivers navigating special education, and people facing grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity struggles, life transitions, or difficult family relationships.

My approach to therapy

I bring a feminist, strengths-based, and systemic perspective to therapy. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have specialized experience providing trauma therapy and supporting healing from traumatic experiences. EMDR is one of many tools I use, alongside person-centered, evidence-based interventions. Together, we’ll explore how relationships, trauma, and life’s joys and hardships have shaped how you see yourself, others, and the stories guiding your relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll work to create comfort and safety through warmth, authenticity, empathy, humor, and curiosity. I’ll ask questions and complete a diagnostic assessment to better understand your concerns, past experiences, and goals, while moving at a pace that feels right for you. You are welcome to ask questions and decide whether we feel like a good fit. From there, we’ll create a plan together.
