Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed Clinical Counselor & Art Therapist, serving clients in New York and New Mexico.

My background has taken me all around the US and abroad, and I am deeply curious about each person's unique life experience and perspective. I've worked in inpatient psychiatric and substance recovery settings; community settings such as shelters, schools, and outreach programs; and in private practice with individuals and families. This background enables me to offer psychotherapy/expressive arts therapy for adults, teens, children and seniors with varying mental health concerns.

I'm particularly passionate about helping teens and young adults navigate the complex issues of that stage of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that you are the expert on your life, and that my role as a therapist is to hold the toolbox and collaborate with you to find what works for you specifically. There is no one-size-fits-all therapy. You will do some hard work, but you won't be doing it alone.

You can step into your session with me knowing you will be stepping into a space (in-person or online) where you will be met with kindness, unconditional positive regard and a dose of humor.

What you can expect from me

I think its important that therapy bring some fun and joy along with the hard work. This means that in addition to traditional talk therapy and cognitive/behavioral approaches, we can incorporate other creative tools as well. We may make art during or between our sessions, music therapy, or dance/movement. I may offer social prescribing, or incorporate your hobbies and passions into the work we do together. We will work together to build skills, find balance, and set goals that you feel are meaningful.

If you're not sure where to start, worried about being judged, or just not sure about therapy in general, please reach out! I am happy to chat with you about finding the right fit or resources.
