Great to meet you!

I’m a born-and-raised New Yorker, raised by Caribbean immigrant parents who instilled in me the classic Millennial mantra: “You can achieve anything.” And while that belief fueled my ambition, it also came with a side order of generational challenges—perfectionism, chronic stress, anxiety, and a not-so-charming inability to gracefully handle life transitions. You know, the usual.

But here’s the thing: hardship turned out to be my superpower. I became ambitious, self-aware, and checked all the right boxes, yet I couldn’t escape the cycle of mental and emotional roadblocks that left me feeling stuck, wondering how to truly move forward.

This insight shaped not only my path but the way I guide others on theirs. Through my clinical work, I help high achieving millennials identify their patterns to move out of survival mode and into their surplus by bridging the gap between knowing and feeling —because being stuck isn’t who you are, and settling isn’t your story.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, emotion regulation strategies, and insight-oriented approaches to help you better understand the patterns influencing how you think, feel, and respond. Together, we’ll look beyond the surface of what’s happening and explore the beliefs, experiences, and relationship patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I also incorporate nervous system regulation, grounding, and practical coping tools so that the insight you gain in therapy translates into meaningful changes outside of the therapy room. The goal isn’t simply to talk about what’s difficult—it’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, build confidence in your decisions, and develop healthier ways of navigating life, relationships, and stress.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll dive into understanding what brought you to therapy and what goals you want to achieve. We’ll map out clear, actionable goals together, ensuring they feel meaningful and aligned with your needs. I’ll gather background information to better understand your story and tailor our approach. Building trust and rapport is essential, so we’ll take time to make sure you feel comfortable and supported. I’ll also walk you through my holistic, trauma-informed approach, outlining how we’ll work together to create real, lasting change. This session sets the tone for the work ahead, ensuring we’re on the same page and ready to move forward with clarity.
